2RU Rack Mount for MCLN/MCGN Series – FR2-15-z-B

The KBC FR2-15-z-B is a 2U passive rack with 15 slots. Each slot can hold any of the following KBC 10/100M and 10/100/1000M wall mount media converters.

MCLS1-XXX-XX-B
MCGN1-XXX-XX-B
MCGN2-XXX-XX-B

The rack can hold a total of 15 media converters. All cards located within the rack are hot-swappable. There is no need to power down the chassis when replacing or making additions to the
rack. All electrical and optical connections are on the rear. A dual redundant PSU option is available with the second PSU requiring one slot of the chassis, leaving 15 slots for card modules.

The KBC FR2-16-XXX-B is a 2U rack with 16 slots. Each slot can insert a card version of the following media converters:

MCLN1-XXX-XX-B
MCLN2-XXX-XX-B
MCLS1-XXX-XX-B
MCGN1-XXX-XX-B
MCGN2-XXX-XX-B

The KBC MCGN2-P1N series is an industrial two channels 10/100/1000M Ethernet media converter. It supports transmission of two channels 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet over SFP port, by selecting different KBC SFP modules, the media converter can be transmitted via one or two, multimode or single mode optical fibers with full duplex operation. There is no A end or B end for MCGN2-P1N series, both ends are same for media converter with SFP port, but when inserting 1 fiber version SFP module, two ends should be matched, that means one end is 1310nm/1550nm SFP, the other end is 1550nm/1310nm SFP .Typically the two channels media converter is installed in remote end, in the head end compatible MCGN1 series is installed. Plug-and-play design makes installation straightforward, with no electrical or optical adjustment needed. LED indicators are provided to show the operational status of the unit. Rugged design in both enclosure and electrical protection makes it suit for application in harsh environment.
